Japanese oats are an excellent green manure, which is also particularly suitable for later sowing. Sowing time: April-September. It rises very quickly, makes a lot of crop and is therefore strong against weeds. The plants have very deep roots, are not very sensitive to structure and contribute to a balanced soil life. The crop can withstand the first night frost, but will freeze to death during severe frost. As an alternative to Tagetes, Japanese oats are also suitable for controlling nematodes.
