ZBETGCRZI Sanvitalia Procumbens ‘Creeping Zinnia’ +/- 75 seeds TessGruun

Creeping Zinnia (Sanvitalia Procumbens) is a wonderfully flowering ground covering plant. Very easy to grow from the seeds, and what charm and beauty it offers all summer long. Sanvitalia Procumbens is a low-growing, mat-forming annual plant that spreads 12 to 18cm, making it ideal for a summery ground cover. The small plants provide an abundance of semi-double orange-yellow flowers with a dark centre of about 2cm. They look like mini sunflowers.

Sowing instructions
Sow from February to April. Sow onto moist compost and lightly cover the seed with vermiculite. Keep the temperature around 18°-20°C (65-70F). Germination takes 14-21 days. Sowing height: 1.5 mm. Keep moist after sowing, but do not saturate until the seedlings appear.

If the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant to 7.5 cm pots. Grows on behind glass at 15°C (60F). Gradually harden off the plants and plant them out when the risk of frost has subsided. Ideal for pots and hanging baskets.
