Caro Rich, also known as 'Carotin' or 'La Carotina' is a tomato variety that originated in the United States. The round to slightly flattened, slightly ribbed fruits grow in clusters of 3 to 4 to an average weight of 120 to 350g. They ripen to an orange-red colour over a period of approximately 75 to 85 days. This species can easily survive in colder areas.
The fleshy tomatoes have few seeds and a very nice taste. They are mainly used in salads and cold dishes. A nice fact is that this variety contains up to ten times more vitamin A than most other tomato varieties.
The plants grow to an average height of 90 to 120 cm and have a very good yield. (Determinate)
