Cherokee Purple is a tomato variety that originated in Tennessee, in the United States. The round, flattened fruit weighs an average of 200 to 350 grams. They ripen to a red-pink-purple colour over a period of approximately 80 to 90 days. This species is quite resistant to diseases.
The tomatoes have a delicious, full, complex taste with a sweet aftertaste. They are mainly used in salads and cold dishes.
