Violet Jasper, also known as "Tzi Bi U", is a tomato variety that originated in China. The small, round fruits grow to an average diameter of +/- 4 to 5 cm. They ripen to a reddish-purple colour over a period of approximately 60 to 65 days.
The fruits have a delicious taste. They are mainly used in salads and cold dishes.
